Randall (Randy) Richard Rudd. 47, of Mabton lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at his home.

He was born March 19, 1964 in Othello to Zelma and Duane Rudd.

A Mabton resident for most of his life, he resided in the same house until his passing.

Randy graduated from Mabton High School in 1983 and from Perry Tech in 1985 with a degree in automotive mechanics. Randy worked at Valley Cabinet Shop for more than 20 years, working his way up the ladder to become a cabinet maker.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara Rudd of Mabton; his daughters, Amy Hiatt and Jaclynn Rudd; five sons, David Rudd, Sean Spears, Brandon Allen, Dustin Lahde and Daniel Lahde; seven grandchildren; one brother, Dana (Sheila) Rudd; one sister, Linda (Rick) Thrasher; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zelma Lavern Rudd and Duane Walter Rudd.

One of Randy's greatest passions was building cars and working in the shop.

Randy's family was most important to him. His family all loved him dearly as well as his close friends. He taught them to have patience and the importance of family values.

Randy's life and the greatness others saw in Randy can not be put into words.

A celebration of Randy's life will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Fizzel Park in Mabton.
