The Yakima County Sheriff's office has made it easier for residents in the county's unincorporated areas to purchase dog licenses.
Working with the county's technology services and an outside vendor, the Sheriff's office now accepts dog license purchases and renewals on-line via credit card or electronic check.
"It is our goal to make the dog licensing process quicker and easier for the dog owners in our county," said Sheriff Ken Irwin.
Those who live within the boundaries of an incorporated city such as Sunnyside and Grandview will need to contact their local officials for dog licensing.
Those living in unincorporated areas can apply on-line at yakimacounty.us/sheriff and under the Dog License/Information tab on the left side of the page select "Online Dog Registration."
