YVCC okays Grandview fire department use of property

GRANDVIEW - In action taken this past Tuesday, the Grandview City Council approved an interlocal agreement with Yakima Valley Community College that allows the fire department to use a portion of the college's Grandview property for training. The property, at 503 W. Main St., has not yet been developed by the college and has a vacant building on site that firefighters will now be able to use for training purposes.

Under terms of the agreement there is no cost to Grandview, but the city will compensate the college if there is any damage caused by the training.
