GRANDVIEW - The Grandview Municipal Pool will officially open Friday, June 17.
The pool offers community members several recreational opportunities, including open swim, swimming lessons and a place for the Grandview Rotary swim team to practice and compete.
This year, admission to the pool during open swim sessions is $2 per person. Season passes are available for $40 single city residents, $55 for a single non-city resident. Families can purchase passes at the cost of $80 for city residents, $120 for non-city residents.
Swim parties can be reserved 48-hours in advance at the cost of $75 per hour.
Swimming lessons are offered at the cost of $20 per individual (city residents), $25 for non-residents. The cost includes one two-week session, and sessions are offered Monday through Thursday.
Pre-registration for swimming lessons will be held at the Grandview Parks and Recreation office on Monday and Tuesday, May 23 and 24, from noon to 5 p.m. Mail-in registration will not be accepted.
The first session will be Monday, June 20, through Thursday, June 30. Session two begins Tuesday, July 5, and ends Friday, July 15. The third session is Monday, July 18, through Thursday, July 28; and the final session of the season will be Monday, Aug. 1, through Thursday, Aug. 11.
Open swim sessions will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Family swim sessions will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 5 to 7 p.m. Saturdays. Parent supervision is required during family swim sessions.
Family swim is open to immediate family members only. Children under 6-years-old must be accompanied by an adult at all times while inside the pool facility.
There will not be any refunds during the season, and those using the pool will be required to wear proper attire, no cut-offs or dark colored t-shirts.
The regular schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, swimming meets or other events.
