Frank Charles Hunt, 76, of Grandview passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at his home.
Frank was born June 27, 1935 in Little Beaver, Colo., the son of Albert and Turie (Wolfe) Hunt.
He received his education in Grandview.
On April 1, 1954 Frank married Eleanora Leona Meier in Nyssa, Ore. The couple made their home in Grandview, where Frank drove truck for the teamsters.
He loved playing poker, hunting, fishing, rodeo, roping, cribbage, teasing kids, racing cars, playing instruments, horses, rolling dice and drinking coffee. Frank also enjoyed fixing everyone's cars, shopping for tractors, going to the cow sale, shopping for hay and hiding Easter eggs.
Frank is survived by his wife, Eleanora Hunt of Grandview; five children, George (Sybie) Hunt, Dody Kitzke, Fredrick Hunt, Dawn (Craig) Moore and Cathi Travis-Fall; 10 grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Kitzke, Matthew Kitzke, Jeffery Hunt, Adam Denning, Riley Moore, Hailey Moore, Justin Renteria, AJ Renteria, Nick Davila and Lauri Serl; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alberta Warfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Cecil Hunt, Brownie Hunt, Edna Hunt, Albert Hunt, Francis Minor, Alice Artlip and Edith Myrick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to Lower Valley Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. Smith Funeral Homes LTD and Crematory in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
