WAPATO - The Grandview Lady Greyhound volleyball team tuned up for the postseason with a 3-0 regular season finale win at Wapato last night, Tuesday.
Grandview cruised 25-11, 25-5, 25-15.
"The girls did a pretty good job," Coach John LaFever said.
He noted that all 11 players who made the trip to Wapato were able to see action in the one-sided victory.
Mikaela Espinoza led Grandview with 11 kills and teammate Taylor Hall provided a punch at the net with nine kills.
Payton Parrish dished out 20 assists to pace the Lady Greyhound attack. Parrish and teammate Ashley Van Tress pounded five and four kills, respectively.
Grandview (7-2, 11-3) will host Toppenish tomorrow, Thursday, in a loser-out District playoff contest
In two previous matches this season, Grandview had to rally to defeat Toppenish on the road back in September.
Last week, Grandview held off a surging Wildcat team to secure a 3-1 in a CWAC South match at home. That result clinched a third-place berth - and home match - in the loser-out round of Districts.
"Now we're into Districts and the matches will be tougher," LaFever says of tomorrow night's must-win contest.
