Judith Ann Heintz, 65, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, after a year long battle with breast cancer.

Judy was born Feb. 23, 1946 in Grand Rapids, Minn. to John and Helen Thiel. The family moved through Montana, Oregon, Central Washington and settled in Grandview.

Judy graduated from Grandview in 1965.

While working at Prosser Pack she met Roger and married him in 1971. They moved to Granger, where they raised their three children and later divorced.

Judy worked for CountryRose, Circle L Mini Mart and eventually True's Auto Sales (Plaza), where she was the

bookkeeper for more than 20 years.

Judys greatest joy was spending time with her kids and grandkids, sewing, crafting, baking and having tea parties with the kids.

Grandma Judy never missed an opportunity to spoil anyone's kids.

She is survived by son, Joseph (Dena) Heintz of Meridian, Idaho; daughter, Stephanie (Joel) Sanchez of Granger; eight grandchildren, Kati, Trey, Devan, Taytum, Ethan, Mikaylee, Mikenzee and Cane; one great- grandchild, Jayden; siblings, Jim Thiel of Minnesota, Barbara Copley of Utah, Eunice Rice of Oregon, Nick Theil of Wisconsin, Sharon Nelson of Utah, Bonny Belch, Linda Bowen and Steven Thiel, all of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by a son, Michael Heintz; a brother, John Thiel; a sister, JoAnne Boggs; and parents, John and Helen Thiel.

Visitation will be held today, Oct. 31, 2011, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Sunnyside VFW hall.
