OBITUARY

MILDRED ILENE BRADSHAW

Mildred Ilene Bradshaw, 80, of Grandview passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Ilene was born June 3, 1931 in Yakima to Raymond and Winifred (Angle) Herriman.

She received her early education at the Velma School near Sunnyside. She finished her high school education through correspondence with the American School in Chicago, Ill.

On June 12, 1952 she married Ronald Bradshaw at the Assembly of God Church in Grandview.

Ilene had various jobs throughout her working years, they included working at Leonardo's Photography Studio, working with her husband at Rosco's Variety Store in Grandview and working for various retail stores.

Ilene and Ronald also owned and operated a second-hand store for many years.

She enjoyed working on puzzles and puzzle books as well as reading. She loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ilene was a member of the Neighborhood Assembly of God Church in Sunnyside and had a very close relationship with all the youth in her church family. She also attended the Sunnyside Senior Center for lunches and potlucks. Even though she never had a son, Ilene enjoyed the time she spent serving her community as a Cub Scout leader.

Ilene is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Bradshaw of Grandview; daughters, Lois (Carl) Raymond and Ruth (Bill) Lynch both of Grandview; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as brother, Richard (Loretta) Herriman of Grandview; and sister, Grace (Dave) Novak of St. Helens, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a younger brother, George Herriman.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Neighborhood Assembly of God Church in Sunnyside.

At Ilene's request please do not wear black to her services.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, with memorial services to follow at 11 a.m. at Neighborhood Assembly of God Church in Sunnyside.
