Coroner says blunt force to head killed local man

An autopsy conducted yesterday (Wednesday) on the body of homicide victim Jose Manuel Correa determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head. Initial impressions that the victim died of a gunshot wound proved to be incorrect.

The home of homicide victim Jose Correa near Outlook was reportedly burglarized yesterday afternoon (Tuesday), according to the Yakima County Sheriff's office. The air conditioner was pushed in to access the home. Deputies do not know if the burglary was related to the homicide.
