Since yesterday (Thursday) Sunnyside police have investigated two thefts and a shots-fired call.
A resident in the 500 block of Riverside Terrace reported hearing six gunshots in the area yesterday. Police investigating the call were unable to find any signs or evidence of gunshots.
Officers also investigated a report of a theft in the 1800 block of Quail Lane yesterday. A hotel visitor reported a power tool stolen from his vehicle. He told police another patron also had items stolen from a vehicle there.
Also, a shopper at Walmart yesterday reported her purse was stolen from the shopping cart she was using.
Officers have since yesterday responded to a number of routine calls. Those calls included four automatic alarms, an animal complaint, a request to locate an individual wanted by authorities, a civil problem, a harassment complaint, a juvenile problem, a lost property report, two suspicious activity calls, three traffic stops and a vandalism report.
Police, too, fielded two informational calls, received two found property reports and provided three agency assists.
