Rollover mishap sends S'side woman to hospital in Tri-Cities

RICHLAND - 67-year-old Cayetana L. Sillers of Sunnyside required hospitalization following a one-vehicle rollover accident this past Sunday morning.

Washington State Patrol troopers report Sillers, the motorist behind the wheel of a 2000 Ford Contour, sustained serious enough injuries to require being transported by ambulance to Richland's Kadlec Medical Center.

Sillers, said the WSP, was westbound and exiting I-182 in Benton County to pick up the I-82 freeway. Her vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and apparently she over-corrected, causing the car to cross the ramp. The vehicle then ran off the right side of the roadway and rolled.

WSP troopers say Sillers was wearing a safety restraint when the Sunday, Aug. 26, accident occurred at about 11 a.m. Her Ford Contour ended up being totaled.

The WSP is still investigating the mishap to determine if charges will be filed.
