Raising a child is harder than ever in today's world but help is available to parents who want a strong relationship with their children that will weather the storms of modern life.
Parents are invited to attend the Strong Families parenting class at Sunnyside's Chief Kamiakin Elementary School from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 15 to Feb. 26.
The free class, sponsored by the Sunnyside School District and Project LAUNCH, will offer help to parents in dealing with common concerns such as sibling rivalry, anger management, worries about drugs and alcohol, setting household rules and communicating with children.
Free child care will be offered during the class. Participants will receive a free parenting manual.
For more information or to register for the class, call Maria (Suzie) Bobadilla at 837-3278 or Maria Vijarro at 576-4319.
