Health and fitness event set for March 15

Attendees of this year's Chief Kamiakin Elementary School's annual health and fitness event will be in for an acrobatic treat.

The school will again host its annual family health and fitness night on Thursday, March 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The event will be held in the Chief Kamiakin gym and is free to the public. Last year, more than 3,000 people attended the event.

This year, attendees will enjoy a performance by Acro Knights, a gymnastic performance team from Walla Walla. In addition, the gymnasts will be hosting a workshop for attendees at the event.

We Care Sports will also provide activities for children and adults.

In addition, there will be 30 fitness station activities and 40 vendors offering information on getting and staying healthy.

The Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic will also have its mobile immunization station on site to provide immunizations to students or adults for a small fee.

For more information, contact Deana Dalton at Chief Kamiakin Elementary School at (509) 837-6444, or Mark Moor at Outlook Elementary School at (509) 837-3352.
