Three hurt in accident

GRANDVIEW - The Washington State Patrol is investigating an accident that occurred last night (Tuesday) at about 10:50 p.m. at the corner of Chase and South Euclid roads.

According to officers, a 1994 Nissan Sentra driven by Carlos Verduzco Jr., 26, of Grandview was westbound on Chase Road when it ran the stop sign at South Euclid Road and collided with a 2002 Nissan Sentra driven by Marcos Prieto, 19, of Grandview traveling northbound on South Euclid Road.

Verduzco was injured and taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital. Prieto suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene of the accident. Prieto's passenger, Marisol Herrera, 21, of Grandview was also injured and taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital.

Officers are investigating whether drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
