Eduardo Andres "Eddie" R. Cuello, 20, of Sunnyside went to be in the arms of his Heavenly Father on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, while at Children's Hospital in Seattle. Each day of Eddie's life was a challenge, but he faced it with a smile, hope, strength and love.
Eddie was born May 2, 1991 in Prosser, the son of Arturo and Mary R. (Rodriguez) Cuello.
Eddie received his education in Sunnyside, graduating with the class of 2011.
He loved fashion and would dress the part from head to toe. He loved to shop with his mother and aunts and would critique their style. His dream and desire was to become a fashion designer.
Eddie loved school, where he loved to paint, draw, learn and have a great time.
He enjoyed summers at the beach, dancing, singing and listening to music and last, but not least, he was an avid sports fan The Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Mariners and the San Antonio Spurs were his favorite teams.
Eddie cherished time with his family and he will remain in their hearts forever.
He is survived by his loving mother, Mary R. Cuello of Sunnyside and father, Arturo Cuello Sr. of Texas; one brother, Arturo Cuello Jr. (fiancée, Rosalva Marquina); one sister, Stephanie (Elizeo) R. Avalos, all of Sunnyside; his grandmother, Maria Dolores Rodriguez of Sunnyside and grandparents, Irene and Raul Cuello of Crystal City, Texas; two nephews, Tye Anthony Avalos and Nathaniel Avalos; one niece, Emma Marie Avalos; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gregorio Rodriguez Sr.
Viewing and visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m., with recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
