After a two-year battle with cancer, Teresa Sanchez, 60, of Sunnyside passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012.
She was born in 1951 to Jesus and Socorro Zapien. Teresa spent her childhood in Colima, Mexico with nine siblings. She married Jose Sanchez at the age of 18, and settled in Sunnyside, where she raised her seven children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Socorro; one brother, Ignacio; and sister, Porfiria.
