Sunnyside firemen were dispatched at approximately 3:17 a.m. this morning to a reported structure fire.
Officials say the fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the home of Domato Fernandez, and nearly $1,000 damage to its contents.
It took 12 firemen nearly two hours to contain, overhaul and clean up the fire in the 400 block of NW Crescent. The fire itself was extinguished at approximately 4 a.m.
"We had to cut out attic boards and wall boards to make sure we didn't have to come back," said Sunnyside Deputy Fire Chief Lloyd Hazzard.
Officials also reported the occupants were not harmed and have been relocated until their home's electrical system is fixed and some rebuilding takes place.
Firemen say it's probable the incident was an electrical issue, but an official cause is undetermined and still under investigation.
Firefighters also responded to two calls for aid since yesterday. Of the calls for aid, two people were transported to Sunnyside Community Hospital. Of the patients at the hospital, one was transferred to another area facility.
