SELAH - The Grandview Greyhounds traveled to Selah last night, making up for a cancellation last Friday.
The Vikings didn't know what hit them in the opening quarter as Grandview started with a 15-2 run and ended the quarter 16-10 on its way to a 58-41 victory.
Selah wasn't able to stop the Greyhound attack in the second stanza. Grandview's defense held the Vikings to just seven points, while the offense scored 14.
Grandview had a 30-17 advantage going into the intermission, and Selah couldn't match the Greyhounds in the second half of the game, either.
Grandview outscored the Vikings 19-13 in the third quarter and allowed Selah to outscore the Greyhound offense by just two points (11-9) in the final stanza.
Grandview's Brandon Curtis and Kiki Mendoza led the offensive charge with a combined 33 points. Curtis scored 18 of those points.
Selah's leading scorer, Andrew Gonzalez, scored 11 points.
Dishing the ball to his fellow teammates 14 times was Greyhound Isaiah Ruiz. He also scored two points.
The Greyhounds also beat the Vikings in rebounding, snatching 42 balls from the glass as opposed to 30 boards for Selah.
Grandview Coach Roy Garcia was also pleased his team was able to cause 20 turnovers.
Adding to the Greyhound score was Sal Escobedo with nine points. Isaiah Gonzales scored eight points, Hector Godinez tossed in four points and teammate Bryce Carpenter scored two points.
Grandview improved its CWAC record to 10-2, 10-4 overall.
