Grandview alumni plan class reunions

GRANDVIEW - Several class reunions are being planned for this summer, and Grandview High School alumni are no exception.

Grandview High School's class of 1992 has planned activities for its 20th reunion on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4.

On Friday, Aug. 3, classmates will gather for dinner at Johnny's Pizza in Prosser at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Aug. 4, from 7 to 11 p.m. there will be a gathering at Prosser's Willowcrest Winery.

This year, the Grandview High School class of 1952 has planned its 60th reunion for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11.

On Friday, Aug. 10, classmates will gather for a spaghetti dinner at the home of Loreta and Richard Herriman in Grandview. The dinner will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. that evening.

The following day, Saturday, members of the class can gather at Grandview's Westside Park for the annual Grandview Alumni Picnic at noon.

Saturday evening there will be a dinner from 8 to 11 p.m. in room A at Prosser's The Inn at Horse Heaven.

The GHS class of 1957 is planning its 55th reunion for the same two days, Aug. 10-11.

A bus tour will be provided from 8 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10.

Leroy Blankenship will host classmates at his home in Prosser for a 6 p.m. dinner that evening.

Classmates will meet at Grandview's Westside Park on Saturday for the annual GHS Alumni Picnic at 11 a.m.

That evening classmates are urged to attend a banquet at Prosser's the Inn at Horse Heaven, which is set to begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $25 per person.

Classmates from the Grandview High School class of 1967 are planning a 45th reunion for the weekend of Aug. 10-12.

At 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, there will be a get together at Prosser's Hinzerling Winery.

The annual Grandview Alumni Picnic on Saturday, Aug. 11, will be a popular gathering place because members of the class of 1967 are urged to attend the event at noon.

That evening dinner and a social hour are planned at Prosser's Barn Restaurant. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

On Sunday a tailgate brunch is planned at the home of Linda and Maurice Rosen, who reside at 60 Summit Drive near Grandview (Wing Hill neighborhood).The brunch will begin at 10 a.m.

Grandview's class of 1987 will be gathering for its 25-year reunion on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1.

Friday, Aug. 31, classmates will gather at Morrie's Pizza in Kennewick.

Saturday, Sept. 1, there will be an evening dinner at a winery in Prosser.

A 50-year reunion is planned for the Grandview High School class of 1962 in September. Classmates will gather beginning Friday, Sept. 14, at noon at the Black Rock Creek Golf Course grill for lunch. A round of golf will follow lunch at 1 p.m. Loran Hancock can be contacted for details at 837-8550.

Saturday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m. members of the class of 1962 are urged to be present for a class photograph to be taken at RC's Restaurant and Casino, located next to the golf course. Dinner will follow the photograph at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, Sept. 16, those interested in brunch are invited to gather at Sunnyside's Green Olive Café and Espresso.

The 20th annual Grandview Alumni Picnic will be Saturday, Aug. 11. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Anyone attending is urged to bring a lunch, chair or blanket, and memories to the event during which alumni of Grandview High School can catch up and step back in time.
