Ladies play 'long putts' in weekly competition

Play of the day for the 18-hole ladies group at Sunnyside's Black Rock Creek Golf Course yesterday was nailing down the longest putts on holes one and nine.

The two winners were Patti Hart of Sunnyside, who had a 4'10" putt find the cup on No. 1, and Sunnyside's Connie Davis with a putt of 8'8" on No. 9.

In side-game action, the winner of the fewest putts contest was Prosser's Rae Ann Goin, who needed just 28 putts to make her way around the course.

Scoring-wise, Carol Monholland of Sunnyside had the low round of the day, a 12-over-par 84. Sunnyside's Lucille Rohman won low net of field honors (actual score minus handicap) with a 70.

Two chip-ins were recorded Tuesday by the lady by Cheryl DeVoe of Grandview on No. 7 and the other by Maryanne Currier of Prosser on No. 11.
