Construction cost changes up bill to $31 million

After receiving the funds to enlarge and modernize Sunnyside High School, school board directors awarded the bid to Petra Inc. of Meridian, Idaho.

The total cost for the job was more than $29 million.

At Thursday night's school board meeting, directors approved changes to the project, bringing the total up to $31 million.

Superintendent Dr. Rick Cole reported to the board that the main jobs of construction are on track to be completed before students arrive on campus, Sept. 4.
