During the Monday night, 7-23-12, at the City Council meeting, I made a statement to the Council supporting our police and the "Gang Elimination" program. In that statement I mentioned that, "Two Council members and some community members don't like to call these terrorists our enemies."
To clarify I went on to say, "As Christians, nothing in the Bible supports their disdain for the term enemy...As American Citizens, nothing in the Constitution supports their disdain for the term enemy...".
Laura Gjovaag reported, "He then implied that such people were also neither good Christians nor good Americans because they did not use the word "enemy" to describe gangs."
Put these statements side-by-side and determine how a sane person with any moral ethics could possibly think that Ms. Gjovaag's report is anything but a twisted, malicious lie.
Citizens of Sunnyside, this is the level of reporting that you are reading in the Daily Sun News for you to make judgments of how to vote in elections. Let us pray.
