Orchardist dies in tractor accident

A 57-year-old Grandview man spraying a cherry orchard in the 500 block of Ware Road near Grandview died after being pinned between a low-hanging branch and his tractor yesterday evening (Tuesday), according to Yakima County Sheriff deputies.

A Sunnyside resident reported just after midnight this morning that he'd been shot at while at work in the 100 block of Bella Terra Road, according to Yakima County Sheriff deputies. Deputies are investigating the incident.

Foster children car wash delayed by weather

Prosser hospital district receives $1.5 million grant

Grandview-area homeowner woken by burglars

Yakima County Sheriff deputies are investigating a burglary reported from the 200 block of Summit Drive near Grandview at 1 a.m. this morning after a homeowner woke to noises and discovered intruders in her home. The homeowner hid in a bathroom until deputies arrived. The burglars had already fled, taking a scooter and bicycle with them.
