I keep reading in this newspaper whereas Sunnyside's Promise is running short on funding and they expect this city's taxpayers to keep funding it. I keep asking myself - is Sunnyside's Promise deceiving the taxpayer or what?
It looks to me like Sunnyside's Promise is working by constantly putting an illusion in front of the public. I cannot see a bit of difference between Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition and Sunnyside's Promise at this time.
We have an organization here that wants funded because it is who they are, not WHAT they do.
The city of Sunnyside is headed for a huge collision and instead of overhauling the organization, they are hay-wiring it together. What needs done before any monies are provided by the city and through the masking of the city; this organization must be audited. I believe this non-profit organization will be found guilty of living outside of its own bylaws. I think a thorough cleansing of this non-profit organization needs to be done immediately.
Now, many will find this letter disturbing and I hope it is. Because all sectors of this city's taxpayer's populace should find it disturbing in one way or another. I believe this organization has taken a well meaning founded non-profit into territory where mismanagement has led to funds being used for a bigger and bigger staff than putting the monies into the public sector where it should have done good for each and every taxpayer and their child, rather than monies being used for employment sake.
Let's have an audit before more funds are allocated to Sunnyside's Promise and let's see if they are not living by their bylaws, which I believe they have not done for quite some time.
A dysfunctional organization will always be dysfunctional unless bylaws are strictly adhered to.
