Thomas Theodore (Ted) Hutches, 49, of Grandview passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Ted was born Nov. 3, 1962 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Central America.

In November of 1962 Ted came from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Central America and was adopted by Robert L. Hutches and Laura M. Payne. Robert and Laura had two children already in America, Doraline and Kenneth. He was welcomed and loved by his new family in America.

At the age of three, Ted could recite the Pledge of Allegiance to say when he became an American citizen, of which he was so proud.

On May 31, 1996 he married his soulmate, Carla in Tacoma.

Ted was a truck driver for several valley companies, including Milky Way in Sunnyside. He later founded Yakima Valley Computer Services.

Ted enjoyed riding motorcycles, computers and cherished time spent with his family. He also enjoyed varmint shooting with his son, Devon.

Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Carla Little Hutches of Grandview; two daughters, Nicole Hutches and Taylor Hutches; one son, Devon Baxter; stepchildren who were very dear to him, Tabbatha Lemmon, Bret Lands and Jessica Cowgill; six grandchildren, Adyn Spencer, Carlee Pina, Josiah Baxter, Roslyn Lemmon and Dylan and Lily Lands; his mother, Laura Henry; fathers, Robert Hutches and Rusty Henry; sisters, Doraline, Debbie and Grace; and brothers, Kenneth and Robert Jr.

Memorial funeral services will be held Friday, June 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Seventh Day Adventist Church on Elm St. in Grandview.
