Fabian Jay Medina, 21, of Mt. Vernon went to to in the arms of his heavenly Father on Saturday, March 10, 2012.

Fabian was born March 2, 1991 in Sunnyside, the son of Lucy (Solis) Medina and Rafael Matthew Medina.

He received his elementary school education in Grandview and Sunnyside. He moved to Mt. Vernon, where he received the rest of his education,

Fabian cherished his time spent with his two year old daughter, Dolores, her mother, Sondra; as well as his family.

He loved hanging out with his friends and his two best friends, Tito and Sergio.

Fabian loved to rap as well as being a tattoo artist.

He is survived by his mother, Lucy Medina of Mt. Vernon; his father, Rafael Matthew Medina of Sunnyside; his daughter, Dolores Rosa of Mt. Vernon; his girlfriend, Sondra Gonzalez of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Matthew of Sunnyside, Andrew (Rosa) and Damien, all of Mt. Vernon; grandparents, Rosie and Manuel Solis of Granger; aunts and uncles, Jennifer of Granger and Tammy Solis of Florida; Adam (Roxanna), Manuel Solis, all of Granger, Frank (Cyndi), Fidel (Michelle), Sergio (Michelle) and Daisy, all of Grandview, Orlando Medina and Elsie (Luis) all of Sunnyside, Alma (Michael) of Albuquerque, N.M., Luis Medina of California, and Eddica Castenada (Sergio) of Minnesota; and numerous cousins.

Fabian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olivia Navarro and Rafael Medina; and two cousins, Abigail Ramos and Joe Anthony Medina.

Viewing and visitation will be held today, March 14, 2012, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1825 E. College Way, Mt. Vernon. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2012, at noon at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 110 S. Fifth St. in Mt. Vernon, with burial to follow at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mt. Vernon.

Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
