The Loving Sunnyside Initiative, spearheaded by Sunnyside Transformation Yakima Valley, has for four years brought together volunteers for the purpose of sprucing up local homes.
Volunteers will be at it again on Saturday, May 19.
Organizers say six homes will be given a facelift with new paint and clean-up.
Breakfast and registrations begin at 7 a.m. at Sunnyside Christian High School, and volunteers will be provided the opportunity to choose which home they would like to help give a little TLC.
Volunteers can choose to paint, serve breakfast or lunch, bring food for meals or make a financial donation to help fund the Loving Sunnyside Initiative efforts.
Teams of volunteers will leave the Sunnyside Christian High School campus at 8 a.m. and begin the transformation of homes belonging to community members who have met specific criteria established by the Loving Sunnyside Initiative.
Lunch will be served at all the clean-up and painting sites, and organizers expect the work will be completed by 2 p.m.
Snacks will also be available for volunteers throughout the day.
