BICKLETON - The 102nd annual Alder Creek Pioneer Picnic and Rodeo will be held at Cleveland Park near Bickleton the weekend of Friday, June 8, through Sunday, June 10.
The historical carousel will open at 5 p.m. on Friday.
Saturday's events begin with breakfast at the concessions at 7 a.m.
At 10 a.m., that day, will be a morning program, and the National Pro Rodeo Association (NPRA) will begin the rodeo events at 1 p.m.
At 4 p.m., the concessions close.
All those attending are invited to "Dance Under the Stars" with music by Carrie Cunningham at 8 p.m.
Sunday concessions are open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The NPRA will begin slack competitions at 8 a.m. and the rodeo events will continue at 1 p.m.
At 9:30 a.m. will be an open air church service.
Those participating in the rodeo events will be charged an entry fee. The youth barrel racing is limited to 10 entries per day at the cost of $10 each. The event is open to youngsters ages 12 and under on Saturday, and 13 to 17-years-old on Sunday.
The entry fee for the merchant cow milking competition is $60 per team, and is limited to six three-person teams each day.
Youngsters 5 and under can enter the mutton bustin competition free of charge. The competition will be held on Sunday and is limited to 12 competitors under 60 pounds each.

Ticket fees for rodeo enthusiasts are $8 for adults and $4 for children, ages 12 and under.
Admission for the dance is $8 for adults and $5 for youngsters, ages 12 and under.
Dry camping is offered at the cost of $15, and day parking is free.
