Stolen car discovered during traffic stop in Grandview

GRANDVIEW - Police in Grandview recovered a vehicle stolen from the Everett area during a traffic stop last Friday night. Officers found that the plates did not match the vehicle and arrested Cody A. Richard, 23, of Zillah on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Grandview police also are investigating a report of a burglary made this past Sunday night from the 100 block of DeAngela Court. Entry was made into the home by breaking a window and the victims said an Xbox, Kinect and laptop computer were missing.

On Saturday officers also responded to a report of a vehicle prowl at a residence in the 200 block of West Second Street. A purse containing identification but no cash was taken.

Grandview police also assisted with a burglary report from Mabton made yesterday afternoon (Monday).

Officers also are investigating a report made Sunday night of a lock cut off a pay vacuum cleaner in the 600 block of West Wine Country Road and quarters taken from the pay box.

Yesterday afternoon Grandview police also responded to a report of a cat stolen by a neighbor across the alley in the 300 block of Avenue G.

Since last Friday police in Grandview have also responded to six automatic alarms, four reports of animal problems, three complaints of loud music, seven reports of suspicious activity, five reports of traffic problems and a juvenile problem.

In that time officers have also provided four agency assists, conducted three welfare checks, provided a citizen assist, served an arrest warrant and received three informational calls.
