Deputies hunt for killer dogs

Yakima County Sheriff deputies were summoned to the 2300 block of Scoon Road Monday morning after a report of dogs killing and injuring alpacas. The deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Early this morning, a person in the 2800 block of Sheller Road reported dogs attacking her goats. Deputies are investigating the incident.

Deputies also investigated a report made Monday by the Sunnyside Postal Service regarding a person demanding mail for a residence in the 100 block of Arrowsmith Road that is posted as no trespass due to previous criminal activity at the location.

Since Monday morning, deputies also have responded to a noise complaint, a report of a dead horse, three reports of suspicious activity, two reports of domestic problems and a traffic hazard. In that time deputies also conducted two welfare checks and provided an agency assist
