Already having registered as a sex offender for past voyeurism crimes, Victor Manuel Nunez, 47, of Sunnyside last Friday pled guilty to the same charge related to a June 5 incident that occurred at Sunnyside's JCPenney store.
Nunez was accused of following a woman into the bathroom at the store and looking under the stall.
He was arrested and Sunnyside police requested he be charged with voyeurism.
Yakima County Superior Court Judge Michael McCarthy set Nunez's bail at $100,000 and he was arraigned on June 19.
Yakima County Prosecutor Jared Boswell was in charge of the case and said Nunez entered a guilty plea last Friday.
He faces 30 months in jail in accordance with a joint recommendation, although he could have been facing between 43 and 57 months under the sentencing standard.
"A pre-sentencing investigation is underway...he is scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 27," said Boswell.
He noted Nunez is also on an immigration hold and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will decide his fate after Nunez has completed his sentence.
