Sunnyside Christian remains unbeaten

LYLE - The Lady Knights continued their winning ways by taming the Lyle-Wishram Cougars in three sets last night, 25-17, 25-10, 25-12.

"We played an overall good match tonight," said Sunnyside Christian Coach Stephanie Dalrymple, although she said her club struggled with finishing strong and playing aggressively.

Teammate Annie Brouwer showed off her skills with a 10-for-10 serving performance and five unreturnable spikes for kills.

Sunnyside Christian's Stormee Van Belle provided 11 perfect passes to her teammates while turning in a 16-for-17 performance from the service line, and slammed the ball for six kills. Teammate Brittany Broersma also contributed six kills.

Danika DeGroot kept the ball in play with nine digs and 12 assists, as well as going a solid 9-for-11 serving.

"We won this game as a team tonight!" said Dalrymple.

The undefeated Lady Knights are 7-0 in league play and 11-0 overall. The team will be playing Trout Lake at home tomorrow, Oct. 18.
