I find the responses to my Obama billboard on South First Street in Sunnyside very interesting. Some don't understand, some think it is racist, profanity or just the act of a coward.
I got the idea for the billboard from Obama, himself. He wanted to find out "whose ass to kick" a couple years ago. Was Obama being profane?
My dictionary defines ass as "1. Long-eared mammal, related to the horse. 2. fool."
I figured Obama must have wanted to kick some fool and not a long-eared mammal. But what kind of President do we have that wants to go around kicking fools?
I figured that there must be some fools out there that wanted to kick that long-eared mammal related to a horse that Obama has been riding (an ass is the symbol of the Democratic Party). So I had a sign created that shows a Republican elephant kicking a Democratic ass with Obama riding it.
Growing up in Sunnyside I never knew what racism was. But since it was Obama talking about kicking...who's the real racist? Who acted stupidly?
Unlike the President, I'm not talking about kicking some fool, just his ass. I own the sign and am proud of it.
