Sunnyside High School's drama students will raise the curtain on the musical "Just So" on Thursday, Nov. 1.
Those planning to attend opening night are in for a special treat, however.
That same night, Jonathan Tavira-Alcaraz for his senior project has organized a special dinner to precede the show.
"The idea is to give people an opportunity to enjoy a nice dinner with their family before taking in the show," he said.
On the menu will be a choice of chicken or shrimp fettuccini, steamed broccoli and a strawberry garnish. Dessert will be a chocolate covered brownie. To drink, iced tea, punch and water will be available.
The cost is $8, which also includes admission to the drama production.
Pre-sale tickets are available at the Sunnyside High School ASB office.
Dinner will be served by Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students, and all proceeds will benefit the FCCLA and drama programs.
The dinner will be at 6 p.m. and the curtain rises on "Just So" at 7 p.m.
"We are hoping the event is successful so that it will become a tradition," said Tavira-Alcaraz.
