Breakdast meeting will detail how merchants can lower their energy bills

There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but there is a free breakfast available to local business owners next month.

In cooperation with the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce, Pacific Power is hosting a free breakfast meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 7:15 to 9:30 a.m. at Bon Vino's Bistro & Bakery at 122 N. 16th St. in Sunnyside.

The focus of the meeting will be a program to help business owners, with a modest investment of time and money, improve lighting and lower their energy bills.

"There may never be a better time to take advantage of energy-efficient building improvement incentives," says Clark Satre, regional community manager for Pacific Power.

Topics for the breakfast meeting will include:

- What is working in LED lighting for businesses;

- Selection criteria and financial benefits for customers;

- Unique access to lighting experts and support to complete installations.

The breakfast is free for local business owners. They must RSVP by Nov. 9 by calling the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce at 837-5939 or via e-mail at pturner@sunnysidechamber.com.
