Fred B. Henning, 95, of Grandview died on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, in Prosser.

He was born June 12, 1917 in Ellis, Neb., the son of August and Anna (Blizzard) Henning.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He married Zona Folden on Nov. 16, 1946 in Marysville, Kan.

He is survived by his wife, Zona Henning of Grandview; three children, Frederick D. Henning and Becky Lloyd, both of Prosser, and Dale Henning of Snohomish; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Geneva Folden-Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clarence and George Baker; and one sister, Leona (Henning) Schmidt.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Community Church of God in Grandview.

Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematory in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
