Larry went to be with our Lord in heaven on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the age of 65.

He was born in Spokane on July 11, 1947 to George and Martha Montague.

Larry lived in Spokane for more than 50 years. He graduated from West Valley High School. In 1972 he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and started his practice in Spokane. While attending college he met and married Anita Danielson. Amy blessed their family in 1970.

In Spokane Larry was active in the First Church of the Nazarene and was a past president of Rotary International. After leaving the chiropractic profession he went to work at Heritage Funeral Home.

In 2001 Larry met Carolyn Young and relocated to the Tri-Cities. They married in 2002. Five years later, they moved to Prosser. Larry managed the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Larry was passionate about flying. He was president of the Prosser Experimental Aircraft Association.

He enjoyed spending time with his fellow "wing-nuts" and flying his Ercoupe. He was the heart and soul of the Prosser Fly-In for the past three years.

In his free time, Larry loved to travel. He was very fond of cruises and recently cruised to Alaska and the Carribean. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family. He loved to spoil his kids and grandkids and was affectionately called "Papa."

Larry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Amy (Michael) Corwin; one stepdaughter, Carrie (Nathan) Wallace; one stepson, Ryan (Chila) Young; grandchildren, TJ, Hannah and Carter; and great-grandson, Michael; his parents, George and JoAnn Montague; brothers, Jerry (Bonnie) Montague and Kerry (Elaine) Montague; sister-in-law, MaryAnne Montague; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his infant son, Russell; his mother, Martha; sister, Connie; and one brother, Garry.

Celebration of Larry's life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Prosser. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society.

Einan's Funeral Home in Richland is in charge of arrangements.
