Deputies have busy weekend

Yakima County Sheriff deputies were busy in the Lower Valley over the weekend, taking three dozen calls since last Friday morning, including three burglary reports.

The burglary of a $100 air conditioner was reported Saturday morning from the 40 block of E Street near Outlook.

Deputies are also investigating a burglary report made late Friday night from the 600 block of Factory Road near Sunnyside. No details on that incident were available.

Another burglary was reported Friday afternoon from the 2100 block of Arrowsmith Road near Sunnyside. A pressure washer worth about $200 was reported as stolen.

Deputies also took two reports of assault over the weekend. In one incident the victim was uncooperative and in the other the victim declined to press charges.

A person was arrested early Sunday morning on an obstruction charge after deputies were called out to a domestic dispute at the location late Saturday night.

Since last Friday morning deputies have also handled four reports of suspicious activity, a missing person report, a citizen complaint, eight reports of traffic problems, two automatic alarms, a report of a dog bite, a livestock incident, two noise complaints, two domestic problems, a juvenile problem and five requests for welfare checks.
