Valley-wide talent show planned

PROSSER – People of all ages are invited to participate in the Prosser Chamber of Commerce Valley’s Got Talent contest sponsored by PMH Medical Center.

The top performer will walk away with a $500 prize. The runner-up will earn $250 and the third place winner will be awarded $100.

Each contestant is guaranteed a three to five-minute audition performance at the preliminary event. The top 10 finalists will move on to the final round and compete for the cash prizes.

The entry fee is $10 and people can register online at or call the chamber at 509-786-3177 for more information. The deadline for mailed registrations is Wednesday, Aug. 21. After the deadline, registrations must be hand-delivered to the chamber office or at check-in at the preliminary event.

The preliminary round will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Princess Theatre in Prosser. The final round will be held at the Prosser States Day stage show on Monday, Sept. 2, starting at 1 p.m. in Prosser’s city park.

Admission to watch the preliminary round will be $2 per person, admission to the final round is free.

The Prosser Chamber of Commerce is also accepting applications for the States Day Parade to be held on Labor Day.
