Several thefts reported in Sunnyside

Sunnyside police are investigating a car prowl reported from the 400 block of Scoon Road last night (Monday). The victim reported the stereo and sound system of the vehicle were stolen. In addition, the interior of the vehicle was damaged and the exterior was keyed with damage to all four sides and the hood.

Police also are investigating the theft of a black 1990 Mazda pickup reported stolen yesterday morning from the 1300 block of North Avenue.

The theft of five quarts of motor oil was also reported yesterday afternoon from the 1800 block of Yakima Valley Highway.

Yesterday afternoon police were also summoned by a report of a fight near Federal Way and South 13th Street. Two people were taken into custody in the incident.

Police were also notified after a semi ran over a stop sign at the intersection of SR 241 and Factory Road. The Department of Transportation was alerted by Sunnyside police.

Yesterday, police also investigated three automatic alarms, a report of an animal problem, a report of fraud, a report of a juvenile problem, a report of vandalism, two reports of runaway juveniles and a report of suspicious activity.

Officers also provided an agency assist, served an arrest warrant, took an informational call and served a court order.
