Sunnyside cops arrest three on narcotics charges

An attempt to recover a stolen truck led to the arrest of three individuals late Tuesday afternoon.

Sunnyside police served a search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of South Sixth Street late yesterday afternoon, hoping to recover the stolen property, which had been reported seen parked at the home, according to the police report.

However, upon arrival at the residence the officers requested their warrant be amended to seize narcotics discovered at the home.

Officers detained two males and one female on charges of possession of the stolen property and on possession of narcotics. The incident remains under investigation.

In other activity during the past 24 hours, Sunnyside police investigated two civil matters, one animal complaint, one residential alarm, one juvenile problem, one missing person report, one noise problem, one suspicious circumstance complaint, made one traffic stop and provided two agency assists.
