Freezing weather limits criminal activity

The freezing weather during the past couple of days seems to have limited the criminal activity in the Sunnyside community, according to the Sunnyside police report.

Nonetheless, during the past 48 hours Sunnyside police investigated five reports of thefts, involving two shoplifting incidents, a stolen cell phone, a missing mountain bike and a tool trailer. The tool trailer was reporting missing from the 400 block of Alexander Road. The theft is under investigation.

In other activity, police investigated one business alarm, three animal complaints, two juvenile problems, one domestic complaint, one intoxicated individual and made seven traffic stops.

Officers also provided two agency assists, served one arrest warrant, handled four informational calls and made a welfare check.
