Gun threat report leads sought

Sunnyside police are seeking witnesses to report of a bus driver being threatened by a gun toting individual Tuesday morning.

“We received the report of an daycare center bus driver being approached by an individual with a gun, but we haven’t been able to nail down any further details,” said Sunnyside Police Sgt. Joey Glossen.

He said officers were on the scene near the 1300 block of Federal Way within minutes of the report, but were unable to locate anyone matching the description given by the driver.

Police are asking anyone noticing anything suspicious in the Federal Way area on Tuesday to call 836-6211.

In other activity, police investigated two residential alarms, three animal complaints, three reports of suspicious circumstance and one traffic incident.

Also during the past 24 hours police served two arrest warrants, provided two agency assists and handled one informational call..
