Police on hunt for burglar in Grandview

GRANDVIEW – A burglary was reported to Grandview police yesterday morning (Wednesday) from the 600 block of East Third Street. Police said a lock was cut off a garage and yard maintenance equipment and some electronics were stolen.

Officers also responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the parking lot at Safeway yesterday afternoon. The incident was caused by an overheated engine.

Yesterday, police also provided an agency assist, handled a parking problem, conducted a welfare check, responded to a domestic violence call and investigated six reports of suspicious activity.

On Tuesday, Grandview officers also handled an animal problem, provided two agency assists, responded to a report of a suicidal person, investigated two reports of suspicious circumstances, conducted a welfare check, took a report of lost property, responded to three parking problems, handled a dispute and been called twice about suspicious activity.
