Freezin’ for cash

After recently standing out in the freezing cold for 24 hours, the Sunnyside High School Key Club was able to collect enough money from passing motorists to present a check in the amount of $1,135 to Heartlinks/Lower Valley Hospice and Palliative Care of Sunnyside. Accepting the donation are Hospice executive director Ron Jetter (far left) and Andrea Arevalo (center), a SHS graduate and former Key Club member, who now works at the hospice office. Also pictured are Key Club members (L-R) Leah Diddens, Jasmine Paxton, John Kranz, Jayleen Leon, Alyson Spidle, Tiana Perez, Andre Cavazos, Jazel Trevino, Jazmine Lopez, Jacqueline Kranz and Isidro Maldonado.
