Quiet 24-hour shift for local cops

Sunnyside police had a quiet 24 hours answering mostly just suspicious circumstance calls, the majority of which proved to be unfounded.

Police did arrest one suspect in connection with a possible stalking report from the 1200 block of South 11th Street early this morning (Tuesday).

Police also recovered a vehicle reported stolen yesterday morning about an hour after the car had been reported taken from a location on Lester Road. The car was later returned to the registered owner.

Police also investigated a report of threats to an individual regarding money. The incident was reported from the 500 block of Woods Road yesterday afternoon. The victim refused to press charges.

Officers also made two traffic stops, investigated two reports of traffic hazards and took information in two non-injury accidents and one hit and run during the past 24 hours. Officers also provided an agency assist, served two court orders and made one citizen assist.
