Grandview cops kept busy since Friday

GRANDVIEW – It was a busy weekend for Grandview police, starting with more than 20 calls last Friday, including two reports of theft and a burglary report.

The first theft report came in last Friday morning from the 400 block of East Old Prosser Road. The victim reported that gasoline was stolen from a vehicle.

Police also responded to a theft report last Friday afternoon from the 600 block of East Wine Country Road. Two adult females were arrested after allegedly stealing more than $760 worth of alcohol from a grocery store.

The burglary report was called in later Friday evening and turned out to be an adult male forcing his way into a residence. No one was hurt and nothing was taken. Officers arrested the man.

Grandview police also recorded gang graffiti taggings Friday morning in the 200 block of Grandridge Road, the 300 block of Avenue D, the 100 and 300 blocks of Cedar Street, the 200 block of Division Street, the 500 block of East Wine Country Road, the 200 block of Avenue A and the 200 block of Ash Street.

Since last Friday morning Grandview police have also investigated 11 reports of suspicious activity, a report of harassment, a report of a runaway juvenile, a report of trespassing, a report of a juvenile problem, a domestic violence call and two automatic alarms.

In that time officers also handled five traffic problems, took three informational calls, conducted four welfare checks, made an arrest for DUI, found lost property, provided assistance to a citizen, provided an agency assist and arrested two wanted persons.
