ZILLAH - The annual Red Wine & Chocolate wine tasting event will take place Saturday, Feb. 16, through Monday, Feb. 18, at the 16 wineries on the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail.
Rattlesnake Hills' winemakers will pair decadent and delectable confections with their premium red wines, setting the stage for a romantic weekend on the beautiful Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail.
What could be more fun than a trip to the Yakima Valley over Presidents' Day weekend to enjoy wine, chocolate and a little romance?
Buy a logo glass or bring a favorite wine glass from home for a visit to the wineries on the trail. Help the wineries to be green, reusing your wine glass along the trail.
Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail passport holders receive special treatment along the trail. The Passport is a ticket to great benefits and discounts at all of the wineries on the trail. It can be used once at each one of the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail wineries.

Newly released wines, red and port wines will be paired with chocolate during this three-day event.
Wineries featured along the trail will be hosting unique experiences for all to enjoy.
Agate Field Vineyard
With a passport or a tasting fee wine tasters will be treated to a tasting of the winery's wines, including its new release of 2007 Agate Field Cabernet Franc. The winery will be offering a 10 percent discount on all wines purchased over $30, excluding reserves, plus some additional case pricing discounts.
Purchases of six bottles or more will receive a free Agate Field wine glass.
The winery will be serving dark chocolate covered cherries and Agate Field dark chocolate brownies, and for purchase will be salsa dogs.
Bonair Winery will be featuring its wonderful red wines with handmade chocolates from LeBlanc Chocolates and Confections.
Anna LeBlanc will dazzle vistors with her wares.
In celebration of this special time, Bonair will be featuring its Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and its popular Bung Dog Red and Bonnie Bonair.
Horizon's Edge Winery
Bring the family and several friends for an opportunity to enjoy all Horizon's Edge Winery's delicious wines.
The winery will have wines for all different tastes.
Also, come help support the Padgett kids, ages 12 and 9, who will be selling their traditional homemade goodies.
There will be an "Early Bird Gets The Glass!" event. The first 20 customers Saturday and Sunday to purchase wine will receive a complimentary Horizon's Edge logo wine glass along with an additional chocolate treat.
Join Hyatt Vineyards for Red Wine and Chocolate weekend.
The winery will be featuring decadent dark chocolate and goat cheese truffles paired with a variety of its red wines.
Those who are lucky can catch a glimpse of the local hawks that love to perch on the winery's windmill and flag pole.
Passport ticketholders receive a free tasting.
Knight Hill Winery
Knight Hill Winery will be offering a "savory" chocolate experience...mole, a wonderful sauce of spices and chocolate served with corn "scoops" on Saturday and Sunday.
The tasting fee is waived with a passport.
Visitors will be previewing the winery's 2011 Petit Sirah, one of the components of Rook's Red, which won a gold medal.
Maison de Padgett Winery
Maison de Padgett will have its annual chocolate fountain with a variety of snacks for dipping for all to enjoy.
Fresh chocolate fountains will be paired with the winery's 2007 Carline Stone Cabernet Sauvignon.
Red Wine and Chocolate is a great time to visit Masset Winery.
How many wineries have a classically trained Chef/Chocolatier that is also the winemaker? Masset does.
Decadent handmade Belgian chocolate truffles will be paired with rich red wines, including two new releases.
There won't be any tasting fee for the event.
Paradisos del Sol Vineyards and Winery
Paradisos offers a micro-mini Lilliputian winemaker's dinner for sweethearts, eight tiny bites of food-three include chocolate, two savory, one sweet - teeny tiny tacos with a chocolate molé sauce, a bean in a chocolate adobo sauce and Truffles Paradisos-to go with eight wines.
The tasting fee is $5, waived with $20 purchase. Passport holders receive 10 percent off purchases of two or more bottles; 30 percent off bottles and 50 percent off case purchases on selected wines.

Piety Flats Winery
Piety Flats will be offering "Truffles de France" exquisite truffles rolled in coco powder paired with the winery's Port-styled wine and its new releases of reds.
The winery will be releasing its new Non-Vintage Mercantile Red Blend. This red blend is truly in the Boudreaux style, using Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes.
There is no tasting fee for the first five selections for passport holders.
Portteus will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the event weekend.
Two wines will be on sale out of the 20 wines available to choose from for sampling with chocolates.
Join Severino Cellars as it welcomes 2013 with Red Wine & Chocolate weekend.
The Severino family favorite recipe of dark chocolate fudge will be sampled as patrons sip on the winery's Severino Red, its 2008 Merlot and 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Silver Lake Winery at Roza Hills
Grab a favorite wine glass and come enjoy award winning wines with your favorite treats dipped in dark and milk chocolate.
Passport holders will receive a free wine tasting and can upgrade for $5 to include Silver Lake's special wine and chocolate pairings.
There will be a $10 fee for the general public.
Red Wine & Chocolate weekend is always an event that lets Steppe Cellars explore the flavors and aromas of its wines as they play off the components of chocolate.
This year the winery will explore how those chocolate flavors can enhance some savory foods.
Steppe Cellars will have its aromatic standards available for guests to experiment with, as well as some information and savory chocolate recipes.
The winery will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, and Sunday, Feb. 17.
Monday, Feb. 18, the winery will be open by appointment.
Tanjuli Winery offers Rattlesnake Hills passport holders free reserve wine tasting with purchase of a regular wine tasting and $10 off purchase of a reserve wine.
The regular tasting fee is waived if a bottle of wine is purchased from the winery's regular selection.
Tanjuli will be serving imported chocolate-dipped oatmeal vanilla cream cookies to go with its 2008 Malbec, 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007 Petite Verdot and 2001 Pinot Noir.
Two Mountain Winery
For Red Wine & Chocolate 2013, Two Mountain Winery is going chocolate noir.
The winery will be matching its noir sensibilities to its new label: black, white and wine red.
Being featured will be the winery's newly released 2009 vintage and chocolate paired reserve tastings and Mom's Cayenne Drizzled Chocolate Brownies.
