YAKIMA - The Lady Greyhounds finished the regular season with a win at East Valley last Friday night to cement their third place position in the CWAC league standings.
Grandview beat the Red Devils 62-40, with Payton Parrish and Marissa Caballero combining for 43 of the Lady Greyhound points.
Parrish bucketed 22 points with nine rebounds to lead the team while Caballero canned another 21 points.
"The girls played well, especially in the second half," said Lady Greyhounds Coach David Gibb. "We buckled down and defensively held them to 13 second-half points."
The top team in the CWAC league, Wapato, lost to number two team Ellensburg last Thursday. Grandview's only league losses this season have been to Wapato and Ellensburg.
Grandview's next game is tonight, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. against East Valley at Sunnyside High School in the 2A District opener. The game is a loser-out affair for Grandview (15-3, 16-4).
