Personnel changes approved by Grandview school directors

GRANDVIEW - At Monday night's Grandview School Board meeting, directors approved recommendations to hire Angel Torres as a kinder through third grade afterschool tutor at Smith Elementary School.

Directors also hired Adelita Mares, a middle school night custodian; Anthony Valero, a high school night custodian; and Debi Foster, spring drama/music director at the high school.

Other personnel changes among the Grandview School District include the retirement notices of Melanie Manship, a high school English teacher; Virginia Binfet, food services head baker; and Alice Lopez, a parapro at Smith Elementary School.

Directors also approved a resignation letter from Education Technical Coordinator Charles Kriewall and leave of absence requests from high school ag teacher Ryan Maiden and Smith Elementary School assistant cook Kari Walker.
